Couscous Festival

The Couscous festival comes alive every year, like a daydream, in one of the most beautiful landscape frames in the province of Trapani, San Vito lo Capo.

An event that, just at the end of summer, attracts every year many patrons guaranteeing a unique experience where food, music and art come together.

The program of the events features the couscous coming from different parts of the world, but also hosts local culinary traditions. 

San Vito portrays itself to the public with an Expo Village in the center of the village, which hosts cooking shows and gastronomic workshops, where you can learn the ancient techniques of couscous processing. 

The stands are open from noon to midnight: local craft stalls alternate the authentic flavors of Sicily with sweet and savoury dishes to combine with a good glass of wine. 

Though the CousCous Festival is not just about food:the event is enriched every year with concerts by artists of national and international fame. Goran Bregovic, Edoardo Bennato, Pino Daniele, Carmen Consoli, Vinicio Caposella and Francesco de Gregori performed on stage.

This year, on September 27th, Mahmood, winner of the Sanremo Festival, will make the sound spread in the square of San Vito.
